Turkey’s interior minister Ali Yerlikaya calls the incident a terrorist attack. On Sunday morning, Turkish police received reports of both an explosion and gunfire near the parliament in the capital, Ankara. Ambulance and police rushed to the town. Two people are said to have parked a vehicle in front of the Ministry of the Interior at half past ten on Sunday morning, and carried out a bomb attack. – One of the terrorists blew himself up, the other terrorist is disarmed. Yerlikaya writes on his Facebook profile, and adds that two security guards are said to have been injured in the attack. The Ministry of the Interior has had a summer holiday, and was due to reopen today. There are now cordons at the site, and entrances and exits are closed.
