When you are outside the national team, you feel that it is hopeless to succeed. There is no room for talk about what is best for your own development. And I don’t think that benefits Norwegian wrestling, Rolfsen continues. A centralization has taken place in Norwegian wrestling. The best are selected by the clubs that have raised the wrestlers to join the national team. – Therefore it is important that the athletes are taken care of and that they remain in the wrestling environment. There is a barrier here, and athletes who have not been heard have more or less stopped wrestling after some time in the centralization. When Exo and Bullen now get results, it seems extra good, says the wrestling expert. That the environment in the Norwegian national wrestling team has become like this is surprising to Rolfsen. For Fritz Aanes was in his time a performer who could go his own way. – The way I was when I made the bet, I would have fit nicely into the model that the national team is running with now. I was a soldier doing what I was told. But for thinking practitioners, I don’t know if the current method is the best. And Fritz himself was a thinking performer when he bet.
