Folketeateret is today announcing which artists and actors are ready for the production of Jesus Christ Superstar in the autumn. For several of them, musicals are a completely new genre. Last week it was announced that Aksel Hennie will play the role of Jesus. Espen Lind, currently a judge in the TV program “The Voice”, plays the role of Pontius Pilate. – I have always had a love for musicals and perhaps especially Jesus Christ Superstar, so it was surprisingly easy to say yes. Pontius Pilatus is a complex character, and I can’t wait to tackle the task, says Lind. Lind broke through as a musician in the 90s and has released several albums.
