June 17, 2022 at 08:04 Equinor assesses offshore wind farm outside Bergen Equinor, together with Petoro, TotalEnergies, Shell and ConocoPhillips, is working on a study where they look at the possibilities for a floating offshore wind farm in the Troll area. The area is located about 65 kilometers west of Kollsnes in Western Norway. This is reported by Equinor in a press release on Friday. The offshore wind farm named Trollvind should be ready in 2027, and supply enough electricity to supply the Troll and Oseberg fields with power for operation. Production can be about 4.3 terawatt hours. It is more than ten times what will be produced at the offshore wind farm Hywind Tampen, which will supply the Snorre and Gullfaks fields with electricity. As of today, Hywind Tampen is the world’s largest offshore wind project, which will be put into operation this autumn.
