Enjoy the last days of winter – now the mild weather is coming – news Vestland

King Winter has taken in nooks and crannies of the country with biting cold and lots of snow. But now we are moving towards a change of weather where it will be milder, but also very windy. State meteorologist Rafael Escobar Løvdahl says so. But before the change of weather on Saturday, we will have some cold mornings in southern Norway. Clear weather and little wind means that the temperature can drop to minus 20 degrees in some places in the country. Expect a lot of wind. In the north, we get urban weather, snow and rain. Vestlandet and Trøndelag also did not miss a few towns in the next few days. It will be quite cold in some places at the start of the weekend, but with big differences locally. Friday starts with cold and little clouds and little wind, but on Saturday there will be a change. Then there will be a lot of wind and storms near Stad, Lofoten and Vesterålen. – We can expect high waves that will be felt well, says Løvdahl, who encourages fishermen to follow the warning. 20 degrees difference from east to west Some places in North-West Norway can be mild compared to the rest of the country. The cause is a hair dryer effect, explains the meteorologist. The contrast is great in some places in the East, where the temperature in some cold caves can drop to minus 20 degrees. – There can be up to 20 degrees difference between east and west, says Løvdahl. When it comes to Saturday’s change of weather, the amount of precipitation will not be “deterrent” in several places, according to the meteorologist. But it might be a good idea to have loose sand and spikes ready, because in places where it rains, it can freeze on the cold ground. In many places in the country, large amounts of snow have fallen recently. Here from Flå in Hallingdal. On Sunday, the umbrella must be brought out, but there is a danger that it could quickly twist due to strong winds. Austlandet has received a generous dose of snow, rain and sleet recently. Three stations have already achieved a new rainfall record for January. This applies to Nesbyen, Kongsberg and Veggli. But by the weekend, the weather will be lighter for the East, and there is also hope that the sun will make an appearance.
