Donald Trump bragged about Musk’s rocket and Starlink technology, before finishing by declaring: “That’s why I love you, Elon!” In his “joking” way, Musk published a fake and edited photo of X, smilingly carrying his moving load right into the Oval Office of the White House. His followers on X comment “Have you moved in yet?” and “America will be great again!”. PUBLISH FAKE PICTURE: Elon Musk himself posted this fake picture on his profile on the social media X. He will be a minister for technology and innovation, he believes. In a “friend chat” on YouTube in August, Musk suggested that Trump should put together a commission to streamline government. Musk also said that he himself could join the team. Trump replied that he “loved the idea” and that he needed someone like Musk, with “strength, courage and intelligence”. Elon Musk shared this on X on election night, expressing satisfaction with the polls. He is optimistic about his own technology and is interested in low taxes. Morten Goodwin has followed Elon Musk for several years. He is also well aware of the latest advances in artificial intelligence. Photo: John Inge Johansen Musk has a strong belief in the technology of the future, explains Goodwin. – He wants to be in the driver’s seat on this, and it is easier for him with Trump than with Kamala Harris. In particular, Goodwin believes that the least possible regulation of new technology is important for Musk. – He wants the least possible regulation and uses freedom of expression as a basis for this. This can be seen, among other things, in Musk’s social medium, X, and in his language model, Grock. – There are almost no restrictions in Grock, says Goodwin. This could have negative consequences for European welfare systems. – Right now it is limited what ChatGPT and the language models can do, but it is obvious that these types of technologies will seep into large parts of the public sector. He believes that in a few years, private technology companies will be able to provide healthcare services that diagnose better than the public healthcare system in Norway. – We should be concerned. We have no say, he says. Until now, Europe has been mostly concerned with regulation through the AI regulation (AI-act). – There is legislation and regulations that set some restrictions. But there are private companies that do what they do, independently of us. We are only purchasers of these services. – We should help develop this technology here in Norway and in Europe, and not just wait for what Musk can achieve with these tools.
