For many, Wednesday marks the start of the Easter holidays and is the big departure day. The Norwegian Public Roads Administration encourages people to be patient and pay attention when going out in the Easter traffic. For the time being, it seems that most people are taking it easy, but several chain collisions in Eastern Norway have led to some queues on the E6 and E18. Three chain collisions In a short time, several chain collisions have been reported in Eastern Norway. Just after 12.30 a collision was reported on the E6 northbound, in the direction of Gardermoen. Four cars were involved in the accident, but the drivers only suffered minor injuries. The accident meant that one lane was closed on the spot, before it was reopened at 1pm. There were long queues, but traffic was diverted past the scene of the accident. At 14:00, the Traffic Center reported that there could be traffic delays of up to 1 hour and 30 minutes due to the incident.
