Just before eleven o’clock the 110 central received a call from a woman at Nykirke in Horten. She was on her daily walk with the dog, when it suddenly reacted to something. It turned out to be a cat trapped under the grate lid of a trough. This is written by the Vestfold Intermunicipal Fire Service. Entered via power line Fire constable Martin Paulsen says via VIB that the cat was sitting on a pipe connection below the grate. It is likely that the cat entered the basin via an extension cord. The fire brigade had to chop away soil and ice before they could get the cat out. Photo: Vestfold Interkommunale Brannvesen – We had to chop earth and ice before we could break open the grate. According to Paulsen, and as you can see in the picture, the cat was soaking wet and cold. – Neighbor Vilde Årøy came over with towels and together we wrapped up the kitty cat. Don’t know who owns the fire The fire brigade doesn’t know who owns the cat. That is why Årøy has taken care of it until the owner reports, says Paulsen. Via Facebook and X, the fire service thanks both the dog and the woman who reported, as well as Årly who takes good care of the cat.
