The documentary made an impression on police attorney Jørgen Henriksen in the West police district. The police work to uncover pimping and prostitution through specialist groups across the country. In the documentary, workers, landlords and salon owners are confronted. The pimp section, as it stands today, creates challenges for how the police approach people in a vulnerable situation, Henriksen believes. – We may think of them as victims, but they don’t do it themselves. They sometimes find it difficult to talk to the police, says Henriksen. The pimping section With a fine or imprisonment of up to 6 years, the person who) promotes the prostitution of others, or b) rents premises and understands that the premises are to be used for prostitution or shows gross negligence in this respect is punished. He has already had meetings with the police this week, and wants the Minister of Justice on the court. – Human trafficking is one of the worst things that exists in our society, and we must do everything we can to put an end to it, says Bakervik. news has tried, but has not received a response from the Ministry of Justice. Police attorney Jørgen Henriksen says there are many people who shirk their responsibility in this case. There is a market that exists in Norway, and people who make money from it. So the responsibility can be spread over many places, says Henriksen. Bjarte Schrøen is a police chief in the section for human trafficking in the West police district. He is worried about dark numbers. – There are clearly large dark figures. Our concern is that there will be people who are forced to do this, who are not caught by the normal mechanisms, says Schrøen.
