Does not answer whether he accepts criminal liability – news Vestland

12 February 2024 at 09:44 Does not answer whether he admits criminal guilt The man who is accused of gross abuse of his son in 2022 does not answer in court whether he acknowledges criminal guilt. He covers his ears while the public prosecutor reads out the indictment and presents the witness list. The accused man’s defense counsel says, however, that he understands that the man does not acknowledge criminal guilt. Today the case started in Hordaland district court, where the man in his 30s risks being sentenced to up to 15 years in prison. It was in August 2022 that the police found the boy tied to a bed, badly injured. The case led to the resignation of both the city council and the director of children’s services in Bergen, due to serious shortcomings in the follow-up from the child welfare services. Seven days have been set aside for the case in Hordaland district court.
