The lowest interest rate applies to those who bind the interest rate for five years, according to the bank’s website. A normal floating mortgage interest rate today is at least 5 per cent, and the banks could tempt customers to save hundreds of pounds on the loan already next month if they had fixed the interest rate. This means that there will be an additional transaction fee which will vary from bank to bank.
