The discovery was made in the area where a woman missing for 30 years was last seen. The deceased has not been identified, but the police write in a press release that there is reason to believe that it is the missing woman. The next of kin of the woman have been notified of the discovery. The woman was last seen near the center of Farsund on the night of Sunday 23 October, and since then the police together with the Red Cross, Norwegian Rescue Dogs, the fire service and others have searched for her. The deceased was found shortly before 10:00 on Thursday morning.
