On Tuesday afternoon, a dead person was found in the mountain area Romsdalsegga ii in Rauma municipality. The discovery was made in connection with a drone search for the Spanish, 75-year-old woman who was reported missing after hiking on Romsdalseggen in July last year. – We have reason to believe that it is the missing woman we have found with the help of a drone, but cannot confirm this until the person has been retrieved from the area and a secure identification has been made, says police station chief in Rauma and Vestnes, Roar Mordal Hilde. The discovery was made on a steep mountainside and the site has so far only been investigated using a drone. Local police are in the process of making a plan to retrieve the dead body. This must be done as soon as weather and conditions permit. Relatives in Spain have been notified.
