Christian Nummedal took silver and secured double Norwegian in Georgia. – It feels fantastic. It feels good to have a World Cup title. Now I can say that I am the best in the world, at least today, says Ruud to Viaplay. It is Bæringen’s first WC gold in his career. Ruud was in third place before the final round, and had to have at least 84.33 points in the last round to take the gold. He did it brilliantly. Swiss Andri Ragettli took third place. Nummedal fell in his first of a total of three attempts, but nailed it with 87.08 points in the second. It was the first championship medal of his career. – It was a completely insane day. There were a few unsettled moments, but it’s absolutely sick that I managed to do it. I have been emotional and almost in tears, says Nummedal to Viaplay. Sebastian Schjerve was also among the medal candidates, but with a best attempt of 81.5 points he finished fifth. Tormod Frostad was number 15. It is the third medal of the day after Johanne Killi won a bronze medal in slopestyle earlier in the day. The WC ends with big air for the Norwegian men’s freeskiers on Sunday.
