Just before 1pm on Saturday, the police reported an air sports accident at Øksnanuten in Gjesdal municipality. A paraglider pilot had crash-landed. At 1.41 pm, the police operations center reported the following: – Life-saving first aid was attempted at the scene, but unfortunately life could not be saved. The pilot was pronounced dead at the scene by a doctor. Relatives have been notified by the police, says operations manager in the Sør-West police district to news. Ambulance, police patrols, air ambulance and rescue helicopter rushed to the scene.
