21 July 2022 at 20:37 Died in boating accident in Bømlo The police received a report of a serious boating accident outside Kråkeneset in Bømlo municipality at 4.18pm on Thursday. A 12-year-old boy was picked up from the water, and was transported to shore by another boat. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation unfortunately did not work, and the boy was declared dead, the police said in a press release. Relatives have been notified, and are being followed up by the municipality’s crisis team. The accident is said to have occurred when a small boat hit a stake in the water. The police are now working with witness interviews and investigations to clarify the sequence of events.
