18 October 2022 at 22:06 IAEA: Deputy head of Zaporizhzhya released The deputy head of the nuclear power plant in Zaporizhzhya has been released, a week after he was abducted, the IAEA says according to Reuters. Members of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) who are present at the power plant are said to be aware that Valerij Martyniuk has been released. The Ukrainian power company Energoatom reported on 11 October that Martyniuk had been kidnapped by Russian forces. IAEA chief Rafael Grossi also expressed concern on Tuesday for two other employees at the power plant who were recently arrested.
