On Tuesday, old UEFA rules had to be dusted off when it was decided who finished as group runners-up of Denmark and Slovenia. For now, it’s important to keep your tongue in your mouth: Both the points, the goal difference, the number of goals scored and the number of yellow cards were all the same between the Slovenians and the Danes. In addition, the teams played to a draw when they met just over a week ago. Then the rules of the European Football Association state that the team that was ranked highest in the qualification for the championship must have an advantage. Tough opposition In the qualifiers for the EC, Denmark and Slovenia were in the same group. There, too, the score was the same, but the Danes took the group victory on a head-to-head showdown.
