That’s what Einar Thomasen says on Sandhornøya in Gildeskål municipality. On his way to work on Monday morning, he encountered a 22-foot-long aluminum boat, with an engine, that had blown up on the driveway. – I was able to contact the person who owned the boat and let them know. Thomesen says that the boat has been on land for several years, around 60-70 meters away from where it was found on the road. – It is so heavy that nobody thought there was any danger of it being blown away by the wind. Thomesen estimates that the boat, with engine, weighs between 300-400 kilos. – The wind must have been “devilishly” strong. It’s not exactly what you expect to encounter when you drive by.
