The Crown Princess particularly wanted to get an insight into how they work to strengthen mental health in the Armed Forces, according to the Royal Palace. The visit was made to Skjold camp in Indre Troms on Friday. There she met, among other things, the battalion chaplain to talk about how they work to strengthen mental health in the Army. – It was a very nice conversation. The Crown Princess was genuinely interested in the topic, and showed great commitment to looking after those in the Armed Forces, says battalion chaplain Geirulf Grødem. I thought I got chicken stew, this was salmon with pasta and flute sauce, said the crown princess to laughter from the troops when she got a taste of the field rations. – When you are in the field and are very hungry, most things are good, Lieutenant General Ingrid Gjerde answers with a smile. Crown princess Mette Marit didn’t quite like real tour food with salmon. The Crown Princess also got a tour, and got to see a tank that the Princess is shooting at. Without press The visit to Skjold camp was added to the official calendar of the royal house on the same day. The visit was carried out without the press present. It is the Royal House and the Norwegian Armed Forces that have documented the visit, and news has therefore not had the opportunity to ask questions to those involved. When Princess Ingrid Alexandra turned 18 in 2022, she also received a gift from the Norwegian Armed Forces: a total of three “dream days” in the Army, Navy and Air Force. The princess stands out as a skilled and mature soldier with good attitudes, on an equal footing with the rest of the company, Vangsnes told news.
