Listeria has been found in the product. The products “Goman Club Sandwich” and “Goman Sandwich with egg and bacon” with best-by dates of 03.09.22, 04.09.22, 05.09.22 and 06.09.22 are being recalled. The products are sold in Coop stores in Western Norway. – Customers must be confident about the food they buy at Coop, which is why we notify our customers after Listeria has been detected in the product, Coop writes in a press release. The products have been removed from the stores. Customers who have purchased the sandwiches are asked to return them to the store. Listeria is a bacterium found naturally in water, soil and raw materials for food. It can cause very serious illness in humans and animals. It is normally necessary to ingest a very high number of bacteria to become ill, but fetuses who are infected from the mother during pregnancy, newborns and people with compromised immune systems are particularly vulnerable.
