29 August 2022 at 13:13 Control of fire on passenger ferry There is a fire on a car deck on a ship outside Gotska Sandön, which lies between Stockholm and Gotland. According to the Swedish Maritime Administration, there will be 300 people on board the Stena Scandica. – We have received information from the vessel that the fire should be under control. But we have called out all available units to be in place should an evacuation become necessary, says Lisa Mjörning in the Swedish Maritime Administration. So far, no injuries have been reported. The fire was reported at 12.40pm. The main rescue center in Southern Norway informs NTB that they have not yet been notified of the fire.
