Reuters reports. The USS Carney has responded to the distress call by moving toward the ship, the officials added. The attack joins a series of several attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against ships in the Red Sea recently. On Saturday, the Danish container shipping company Mærsk announced that they are stopping all transport in the Red Sea. Several other companies have already stopped their transport there. The sea route through the Red Sea is considered very important for world trade since a large part of the traffic between Europe and Asia passes there.
