22 June 2023 at 11:26 Concerned about the level of security in the activity parks The Directorate for Community Security and Preparedness (DSB) is concerned about the level of security in the activity parks in Norway, they write in a press release. Several errors and deficiencies were uncovered when DSB carried out inspections of nine trampoline parks and playgrounds. – The worst example we came across was a climbing wall over 7 meters high that had not been maintained, and they also had no documentation that it was safe. This could lead to serious fall injuries. The deficiencies here were so serious that large parts of the park were closed for several months, says section manager Mari Grande Austad in DSB. She says that errors were corrected after the inspection. – All the activity parks that had errors and deficiencies under supervision have reported back that they have rectified these. It is good. It is important that the parks take safety seriously and provide visitors and employees with good information and training, says Austad.
