The Criminal Oral Court No. 2 of Zárate-Campana sentenced this Wednesday to 19 years in prison with immediate detention for Claudio Contardi, the ex-husband of Julieta Prandi, who was found guilty of sexually abusing the model during their marriage.

The resolution was issued by judges Daniel Repolo, Lucía Leiro, and Mariano Aguilar, who ordered Contardi to be escorted out of the handcuff room and taken into custody.

The court deemed the defendant guilty of the crime of sexual abuse with carnal access, aggravated by causing serious harm to the victim’s mental health, involving repeated offenses.

Sebastián Waiser, a close friend of Julieta Prandi and a witness in the trial, spoke with Infobae just before the verdict and called for justice.

My expectation is that justice be served. This resonates with us as a society. Many people are waiting for this verdict. It symbolizes hope for those who also encourage us to address these issues. I believe Julieta is the voice of many, just as she has said,” explained Waiser.

He further reflected on his experiences during the last four months of Julieta’s marriage, noting that “there’s not much to analyze or reflect upon living a situation like the one she was in, but everything that is legal and advisory can help inform.”
