She died in hospital with her family around her, and was 79 years old. McVie co-wrote several of the band’s biggest hits, such as “Little Lies”, “Don’t Stop” and “Say You Love Me”. She left the band after 28 years in 1998, but returned in 2014. McVie also released three solo albums. The family wrote in a statement that she will be remembered as a wonderful person and a musician who was loved by many.
