The police announced the accident at half past five on X/Twitter, and reported that it then appeared to be a serious accident. At around a quarter to five they stated that the emergency services were on the scene and the child received medical treatment on the spot. The police also said then that they had control over the driver of the car. They stated that there was no suspicion of drug-impaired driving. There is no known relationship between the driver and the deceased boy, the police say.
