The Norwegian is eight strokes under par before the last 18 holes of the tournament. Brooks Koepka leads by eleven strokes under par. Jon Rahm is in 2nd place, one stroke ahead of Hovland. The Norwegian ended up two shots under par in the third round, while the two competitors in front of him both went on plus one. Hovland had a rough start on Sunday with two bogeys, but then he went to work aggressively on the next few holes. It resulted in five straight birdies and contact with the top again. On the 18th hole, the Norwegian was only centimeters away from making his sixth birdie of the day, but the putt had just a little too little speed. The first round ended with seven under par for the Norwegian. Round two he went one stroke over par. The tournament at the Augusta course has been stopped several times due to strong winds and heavy rainfall. On Sunday, play was restarted midway through the third round.
