Bus overturned after collision on E6 in Hamarøy – two people injured – news Nordland

The police write in a press release that they do not have an overview of the number of passengers. This is because several of the passengers must have got into cars. There must be a two-digit number in each of the two buses. It was initially reported that two people should have been injured as a result of the accident, but none of them seriously. Later, the police report that three people were taken to hospital. – We received a report about two buses that had collided south of Innhavet on the E6. One bus is partially overturned in the ditch, while the other is standing on the road, says operations manager Remi Johansen in the Nordland police district. There should not have been room for both buses on the road, according to the police, which ended with one bus overturning into the ditch, the police write on Twitter. – The accident happened in an 80 zone, without us believing that they drove that fast. It has been reported from people on the spot that it is slippery and there are some plowed edges which mean that the road is not full width, says Johansen. A new bus has arrived at the site to transport the passengers onward. The police do not suspect any of the drivers of intoxication, but they are routinely questioned. The road will be opened as soon as the bus has been recovered by tow trucks. Car towing is now underway. The Meteorological Institute reports strong winds in several places in Nordland on Tuesday.
