Broke my leg during the recording of the “24-star Christmas calendar” – news Culture and entertainment

Couple dancing is not for the faint of heart. Just ask Chand Torsvik. He was thrown out in a dance with actor and comedian, John Brungot. – I couldn’t get a better dance partner than John. I remember being very nervous, but realized that here I just have to move around in the “Brungot waltz”, explains Torsvik to news. The rocker from Namsos admits that he is not a natural dancer. He experienced that painfully in this dance competition, when he ended up breaking a bone in his foot. – Filled with shame – I remember we pulled a note out of a box, and suddenly the dance was on. I don’t remember the dance itself, only that I heard a crack in my foot when I landed on the floor. Torsvik gritted his teeth and finished the dance, but soon felt that something was wrong with his leg. The guilt came suddenly for dance partner Brungot, when he realized what had happened to Torsvik. Brungot describes the dance with Chand as “Dirty Dancing moves”. – I am of course filled with shame that Chand had to limp through the entire recording. But he believes that the tenacious Trønder impressed greatly in the subsequent competitions. – Namso’s big son is so raw that even with a significant obstacle, he was almost unbeatable in all challenges. – But every day I saw him sitting in the corner with his foot raised high, I only thought of this stanza from his own song: “Kunn æ screw back time and fix all the mistakes…” Torsvik ended up in the emergency room after the competition, and the x-rays showed a fracture in the foot. Chand Torsvik took it all in with a smile and thanks the other participants. – I received tremendous care from the others, who provided food and coffee between the matches. I really appreciated that, he says. The X-rays showed that Torsvik had suffered a fracture on the top of his foot. But he dropped the cast, and had to walk with a stiff sole for the following months. Boys’ trip in Tix’s Ferrari During the recording period, Torsvik stayed at a hotel in Holmenkollen. Andreas “Tix” Haukeland also stayed at the same hotel. Torsvik was dependent on transport to get up to Frognerseteren where the program was recorded. And he got that from Tix. In his Ferrari. – Chand grinned widely in the side seat. It’s almost so I suspect he broke his foot on purpose to be able to ride with me, he laughs. But Ferrari notwithstanding, Tix admits that his car is not the world’s most practical. – I only have an extra seat, and there was barely enough room for his crutches. The Ferrari is not the easiest car to transport someone in, says Tix. The boys’ trips from Holmenkollen up to Frognerseteren offered many good conversations, we are to believe the Ferrari driver himself. – The boys’ rides in the Ferrari were a nice glimmer of light during the days, says Andreas Haukeland. Photo: Private – It’s amazing what boys talk about on a boys’ trip in a boys’ car. We talked about when Chand won the X Factor, because at that time I was just a teenager dreaming of a music career. I grew up in a completely different music era to him, so there were nice conversations. – Otherwise, we talked quite a bit about how fast the Ferrari can drive up to Frognerseteren, and how fast it can handle the turns, he jokes. – The body got a ride For Torsvik, being able to sit in a Ferrari to and from the recording was a big plaster on the wound. – There was great pride for a namsos wedding. Andreas is a wonderful guy, so it was very nice to get to know him better. The broken leg in his foot had to withstand several competitions, and in retrospect Torsvik sees that he pushed himself a little too hard. – The body got used to it, but it was definitely worth it. It was a fantastic experience. And I can say it like “it’s going well now” with my foot.
