10 March 2024 at 05:11 Break into the apartment – woman in her 80s to hospital The police report that a woman in her 80s has been sent to Kalnes hospital after a man in his 20s assaulted her in Fredrikstad in Østfold. According to the police, the man must have entered the woman’s apartment by breaking the front door. – The man has also been inside other homes prior to this. He has stolen wallets, among other things, says operations manager Finn Aas to news. He says that the man was in possession of a knife, but that the woman was injured by blunt force. The police cannot yet say anything about the extent of the damage. – The man has been arrested and will be brought to the emergency room to assess possible intoxication or whether there is any psychiatric problem, says Aas. The police state that there is no indication of a relationship between the woman and the man. The motive is currently unclear. – It is an ugly case when elderly people are attacked in their homes in the middle of the night, says Aas.
