Bodø Airport closed until further notice – 350 travelers are waiting in the planes – news Nordland

Bodø Airport was closed at eight o’clock until further notice as a result of the storm. This is what technical manager Øystein Madsen says to news. – A real storm came in, and we have made a calculation that there will be a lot of snow for another hour. We are reassessing whether the airport can be reopened at 08.30. Madsen says that there is so much wind that the planes cannot be de-iced sufficiently well. – There are between 350 and 400 travelers who are now sitting on planes waiting to take off. There are two full flights to Oslo. We have taken travelers with Widerøe back into the airport. As a result of the closure in Bodø, flights in Tromsø and Oslo are also on hold before heading to Bodø. Madsen says that the delays on Friday morning will probably spread throughout the day and to several airports. – We hope to be able to take in some, but there will be some delays throughout the day. And if this continues, there will be even more. There is a tight schedule today, so things are going well, says Madsen. Photo: Malin Nygård Solberg / news
