Bjørn Kåre Ellingsen regained the tour flag via Facebook – news Innlandet – Local news, TV and radio

For nearly ten years, he noted the trips on the flag. Mountain peaks, altitudes and dates. But somewhere along the way, on a ski trip to Veslenup on Haukelifjell, it disappeared. – It was in January 2021, and it was quite an arduous journey. I probably tried a hundred times, says Bjørn Kåre Ellingsen in Randaberg. Only late in the afternoon, when he and his roommate had returned from the trip, did he notice that the flag was gone. That time, Ellingsen called for the flag on Facebook, but he got no response. Now he has received help from an unexpected source. Many mountain peaks are written on the flag. There are also altitude meters and the date of the trip. There are many mountain peaks written on the flag. There are also altitude meters and the date of the trip. Personal memory Three years later, Kristoffer Lea from Nærbø bought a new car. Or rather; A used and rather dirty car. Lea went to work thoroughly. – I took out the set, and washed and scrubbed. Then I lay there on all fours, and then I saw a small stick sticking out. It was the “tour flag”. Only afterwards did Kristoffer Lea notice the note. He decided to return the “tour flag” to its rightful owner. But it turned out that the flag was unknown to those he had bought the car from. This led to Lea posting a post on Facebook. “I think this is a good memory for the right person, so I’m trying my luck here,” he wrote in October. Lea hoped to find the owner, but did not have very high expectations. Nevertheless, the post was shared almost two and a half thousand times, and suddenly he caught on. – I thought it was nice that the owner got it back. There were many feelings and thoughts about it. INSPIRED: Kristoffer Lea is a tour man himself, and was inspired to perhaps make something similar himself. – It was a cool invention. I think there are many people who will think along those lines in the future. photo: PrivatINSPIRED: Kristoffer Lea is a tour man himself, and was inspired to perhaps create something similar himself. – It was a cool invention. He still does not know how the flag found its way from Haukelifjell to the Caddy that Kristoffer Lea has recently bought. Now he has received the flag back in what he refers to as a “formal handover”. The event was immortalized by Bygdebladet. Ellingsen says that the tradition with the flag actually came about a bit by chance. – The first trip was Galdhøpiggen with my eldest son. Then it happened that we wrote it down, when we had been on that trip. And then he continued to take notes. – That flag actually means quite a lot to me, it has followed me for many years. Hiking and outdoor life is an interest he shares with his partner Inger Helle Espeland. It was she who saw the flag on Facebook. The first trip No is the oldest son, who went to Galdhøpiggen, in his mid-20s. He has not inherited his father’s passion for mountains and hiking. “This was fun, dad, but I think it’ll be okay this time!”, Ellingsen recalls. Now the flag must be framed and have a place on the wall. Although the flag disappeared, Ellingsen continued to register his trips. And he certainly has no intention of stopping now. – I think I have to get myself a new flag. There will be a “two-zero” flag. This picture is from the ski trip to Veslenup.
