Aker BP and Aker Solutions have entered into an agreement of intent with the shipyard Rosenberg Worley in Stavanger. The agreement concerns the construction of two modules for the new central platform on the Valhall field in the North Sea. The critics believe the oil industry had no need for an oil tax package. To be built also at Stord Aker BP and the partners are building out several licenses in the Valhall area. The project is called Valhall PWP – Fenris. Valhall PWP consists of three large modules with a total of over 15,000 tonnes. The process module will be built at Aker Solutions in Stord. Rosenberg Worley will deliver the well module and the equipment module. Assembly of the platform will take place at Stord.
