The threats “are of a serious nature”, of “very large scope and over a long period of time”, the court writes in the judgement. Confessed to everything The man confessed to both the fraud cases and the threats. Søndre Østfold district court delivered its verdict on 21 June 2023. It read six years in prison. But despite the confession, the man has appealed the sentence. – He is appealing because he wants a lower sentence. He has confessed and contributed to a short and efficient legal process. It should have had a greater effect on the penalty discount, says Øystein Ola Storrvik, who is the man’s defender. Pending a possible new trial, he is still in custody.
