18 November 2022 at 05:03 Biden will give Saudi Arabia’s crown prince immunity US President Joe Biden believes that Saudi Arabia’s crown prince Mohammed bin Salman should be protected from lawsuits after the murder of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. The Biden administration states that the crown prince’s official role should be the basis for immunity in the lawsuit from Khashoggi’s fiancee and from the human rights group that Khashoggi had established, Democracy for the Arab World Now. Thus, Washington supports Saudi Arabia’s view on the matter. The request is not binding. A judge must decide whether the crown prince should be granted immunity. (NTB)
