6 March 2024 at 14:23 Bergen bans fireworks and slingshots in the city centre, but says yes to snowballs On Wednesday, Bergen city council adopted a prohibition zone against fireworks in the city centre, in connection with the new police regulations. Shooting with rifles, paintball, bows, slingshots and explosives is prohibited in the same zone. The ban now applies from the north of Gamle Bergen to the south at Gamle Nygårdsbro, and from the west at Laksevågneset to the east at Svartediket. A proposal to also ban snowballs was not included.
