It was not possible to participate in the prime minister’s place, and the foreign minister has therefore canceled his trip, the press release states. – The host country informed us this week that foreign ministers will not be able to take the prime minister’s place at the high-level meetings, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs told news. On 9 October, it was announced that Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre (Ap) would not attend the climate summit in Azerbaijan’s capital. Eide was actually supposed to take part in his place, but nothing will come of it. Norway’s delegation is led by Climate and Environment Minister Tore O. Sandvik (Ap). Development Minister Anne Beathe Tvinnereim (Sp) also participates.
