19 October 2022 at 12:18 Baneheia decision comes on Friday This is reported by Attorney General Jørn Sigurd Maurud in a press release, after the Re-recording Commission decided that Viggo Kristiansen will have his case retried. The case was investigated by the Oslo police district and the public prosecutor in Oslo sent over his recommendation to the attorney general on 2 September 2022. Viggo Kristiansen has always claimed he is innocent. His sentence was reopened in February last year following a petition from Kristiansen. He had served 21 years when he got out of prison last June. It is now clear that the Attorney General’s decision will be given on Friday. He was convicted together with Jan Helge Andersen for the rape and murder of Stine Lena Sløgedal Paulsen (10) and Stine Sofie Sørstrønen (8) in Baneheia in Kristiansand in 2000.
