The object had characteristics that resembled a balloon, writes the Colombian Air Force in a statement. The air force followed the object until it left the airspace again, it says, and the incident is being investigated in cooperation with other countries and institutions to find out where the object came from. – The object did not represent a threat to national security or defence, they write further. The possible balloon sighting in Colombia occurred at the same time as the US reported a Chinese balloon in its airspace. This balloon was shot down on Saturday evening. (NTB)
