At least 21 people have been confirmed dead in a tornado in the US state of Mississippi, local authorities say, reports CNN. The tornado has hit the counties of Sharkey and Humphreys, and has left damage in a 160 kilometer stretch, reports ABC News. Roofs have been torn off, and some neighborhoods have almost been leveled, CNN writes. In the town of Silver City and Rolling Fork, major damage is reported. One resident describes Rolling Fork as “wiped out” after the storm’s devastation. – I have never seen anything like it. This was a great little town. Now it’s gone, says Rolling Fork resident Brandy Showah to CNN. Roger Cummings, a resident of Silver City, says every camping home in town is gone. – That is so sad.
