19 January 2023 at 19:05 At least 145 are feared dead in a boat accident in the Congo At least 145 people are missing and feared dead after an overcrowded boat sank in the Lulonga River in northwestern Congo on Thursday night, the authorities say. Around 55 passengers survived the accident which happened near the village of Basankusu. According to local spokesmen, there is little hope of finding more survivors after the accident. (NTB)
