7 October 2023 at 18:19 At least 100 dead after earthquake in Afghanistan More than 100 people have lost their lives in an earthquake in western Afghanistan today. According to the UN, at least 320 have been killed, while the AFP news agency reports that the number is at least 120. The first earthquake had a magnitude of 6.3 according to American geologists. Then followed 5 aftershocks. Earlier today, the number of dead was 15 people – but now it has risen sharply.
