9 May 2023 at 18:41 Armed police at address after knife threats Armed police are at a private address in Stavanger near Lervig after an unsolved incident where a man is threatened by several perpetrators with, among other things, a knife. The victim must not be seriously injured. – The police are on the scene and in contact with the victim. We are trying to get an overview of the course of events and, among other things, are looking for perpetrators with dog patrols, says operations manager in the South-West police district Olaug Bjørnsen. Bjørnsen says that the police chose to be armed because of the threatening situation where someone has been approached and a knife has been used, among other things. The victim is known to the police from the past. The police responded to a report of the incident at 18.20.
