– We have arrived in place with the first patrols and are talking to the perpetrator on the phone, says operations manager Trond Hangaas in Trøndelag police district. The employees and patients who were present at the doctor’s office must have pulled out of the building when the person began to threaten with the knife. Before they got out of the building, they managed to lock the man in one of the offices. – There is a negotiator from the police who is in contact with the man. We have a good dialogue with the person, says Hangaas. Hangaas has not received any information that anyone will be injured. The police currently do not want to enter the room where the person is locked. – We have no stress about doing it. We take it easy, nice and safe, says Hangaas. People in the vicinity are asked to stay away from the scene until the police have control.
