The main point is that a party branch – a municipal party or county party – gets representation on the basis of the number of members who are registered in the relevant municipality or county. Speaking to the newspaper, party secretary Kjersti Stenseng describes the model as the most democratic. But Trond Giske, who heads Nidaro’s Social Democratic Forum, is disappointed. The local team has many members outside Trondheim and Trøndelag. – This means that all the Nidaros members from Oslo will contribute to making Oslo’s delegation at the Labor party meeting bigger and Trøndelag’s smaller. I think it will lead to Ap getting fewer members, says Giske to the newspaper.
