30 August 2022 at 10:25 Appeals appointment of legal counsel Terrorist accused Zaniar Matapour appeals the Court of Appeal’s appointment of legal counsel for 36 victims after the mass shooting in Oslo on 25 June to the Supreme Court. The Borgarting Court of Appeal overturned the district court’s decisions and said that the aggrieved parties had the right to legal aid. In the appeal, lawyer Inger Zadig at Elden law firm, who is defending Matapour, writes that they believe the Court of Appeal has set a very low threshold in this case and compares it to the fact that Sian leader Lars Thorsen was not appointed legal counsel. The law firm requests that the Supreme Court hear these two cases jointly. The law firm also represents Thorsen.
