This is what operations manager Trond Volden in the Trøndelag police district says. – The accident has therefore, unfortunately, claimed two young lives. It was Trønder-Avisa that first mentioned the case. Relatives, friends and family have gathered at the scene of the accident and the police have therefore reduced the speed from 80 to 50 km/h. They ask road users to be aware of this. On Thursday afternoon, a moped and a car collided head-on in Beistad in Steinkjer. Both teenage girls were in the moped. One of them died on Thursday, while the other was taken to St. Olav’s hospital by air ambulance with serious injuries. On Sunday, it became known that she died from her injuries. The police release the information in consultation with the girl’s parents.
