The two elected officials will not be able to take part in the work of the National Assembly or access the Palais-Bourbon for fifteen days of session, according to article 71 of the regulation. They will also be deprived of half of their parliamentary allowance for two months. This is the first time that elected officials have been sanctioned for breach of the code of ethics after poor use of their advance of mandate costs.
A little earlier in the morning, the office of the National Assembly had already voted unanimously all the sanctions, on the proposal of the president, Yaël Braun-Pivet (Renaissance).
