The agreement involves a wage increase of 3.7 per cent for all cabin crew from the new year. – We have put an agreement in place and secured our members a moderate wage increase that is in line with the rest of society, says Bjarte Stedje, chairman of the Norwegian Cabin Association to news The cabin crew of SAS were ready to take around 500 members out on strike if the parties did not agree, but the agreement now means that SAS avoids conflict just before a busy Christmas holiday. – We were ready to strike if the negotiations had not reached a conclusion, but fortunately we avoided that. We have ensured that people can go home for Christmas, says Stedje. The parties have also agreed that the cabin crew in SAS are guaranteed a salary supplement in the spring that is at least equivalent to what the frontline department arrives at. The agreement between SAS and the Norwegian Cabin Association lasts until 31 March 2024.
